Training for becoming a Sex Therapist

In NZ there is no accredited pathway to becoming a Sex Therpist.  However therapists  working in the field of Sex Therapy usually have training and qualifications in clinical psychology, occupational therapy, counselling, psychotherapy, social work or nursing.  Experience in couple therapy is an advantage.  Therapists usually undertake post graduate training in psychosexual therapy.

STNZ offers a full training programme when joining our national team.  Expressions of interest are welcome, for our 2025 training program please contact either Ally or Paula

SUPERVISION
